Men (and Women) in Blue –A Friendly Cooking Competition between our public Safety Officers

images We are very excited about our Men (and Women) in Blue Cooking Competition. It’s going to be fun! We now have the Boston Police, the Cambridge Police, the Boston Fire Department, and the Watertown Police department all ready to chef it up on stage on October 5th in Copley Square. Men (and Women) in Blue will be a friendly cooking competition between public safety services who keep our citizens safe. It will be an event on hallowed ground that will celebrate cooking, service and community – three things important to all of us. What: A cook-off challenge between uniformed officer/chefs representing in Boston, Cambridge and Watertown – with professional Boston celebrity chef/owners as their sous-chefs and coaches, and celebrity judges. Let’s Talk About Food Festival will represent the first big public food event held in Copley Square since the Marathon, we hope to pay quiet acknowledgment to the event and also use the moment to celebrate our local uniformed public safety forces – the Boston Police, the Cambridge Police, the Watertown Police, the State Police and the Boston Fire Department among others. The Details: There are chefs in each of the public safety services who would like to compete. We’ll have a September “Heat” within each service and a champ who goes on to the Men in Blue finals representing their force. Prizes will be awarded to all! Stay tuned for judges, local chef/owners who will “coach”, recipes and more. Come on and cheer the Men (and Women) in Blue on October 5th.
